JOB TITLE:  Full-Time Faculty (Open Rank) – Criminal Justice

REPORTS TO:  Chairperson, Criminal Justice/Forensic Science

DIVISION:  Criminal Justice/Forensic Science


Job Summary: The Division of Criminal Justice and Forensic Science is seeking qualified candidates for a full-time faculty member in Criminal Justice. Teaching responsibilities include: introductory criminal justice (policing, corrections, and court systems/law), ethics in the criminal justice system, intelligence/crime analysis, and advanced topics and research. Successful candidates must demonstrate a willingness to teach courses beyond their area of expertise including cross discipline courses. Additional expectations include academic advisement, service to the college, and continued professional development. Faculty appointments are for a ten-month contract period and the normal teaching load is twelve credit hours per semester.

Requirements/Qualifications: Ph.D. in Criminal Justice. Preference will be given to candidates with previous experience in teaching at the college-level, mentoring undergraduate research and course development.

Appointment/Start Date: August 1, 2020
